Gingerbread House

I guess we have made it a tradition now, this is our 2nd year buying the gingerbread house kit from Costco and putting it together for FHE. The difference this year is that dad helped out and it turned out soooo much better! He had a way with the icing, and much more patience than I did last year.
I have to share something Summer said earlier in the evening when Jackson and I were helping Collin out with his homework. We asked him who the President of the U.S. was and he didn't know so we were giving him clues. We got all the way to, "George W..." and Summer piped up from the corner, "Dot com!" Now if that isn't a sign of her generation, I don't know what is!

I'm so impressed with your house! My (Lundahl) family started doing this on Christmas Eve a couple of years ago. We hadn't anticipated how hard (and messy) it was going to be! We learn new techniques every year. My bro Jas really gets into it! This year my mom found me a Nativity gingerbread set. We haven't done it yet, but I'm excited about it. If it turns out ok I'll post pictures on my blog!
p.s. thanks again for the perfect present!
