This was Summer's first year enrolled in any sport, and she loved it! She scored 3 goals this season (my boys have yet to score one). She is such a go-getter. She was so bummed when the season ended, and she wondered why she didn't have practice everyday like an older boy she knows in the neighborhood, she thought that would be great!
I cannot believe the difference between her and my boys, the boys are not too aggressive in the sports I've put them in, they just kind of hang back and wait for the ball to come to them. Summer on the other hand is right in there with the best of them just playing her little heart out! She is quite coordinated too, we haven't practiced soccer with her at all and she already instinctively knew how to stop the ball and get it going in the right direction. Maybe our family will follow in the footsteps of what Steve's family did...the girls played sports and the boys worked at dad's shop after school. Who knows!

We have the same thing -- Ike and Mabel both like soccer, but she's a more aggressive player. It looks like Summer's having a great time!
